Social Value Canada members are invited to join a consultation call hosted by Social Value International on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM ET.
The call will bring together network members to discuss two significant global developments in social value, due diligence and impact disclosure.
Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive
The European Commission is developing guidelines to help companies meet their human rights and environmental due diligence obligations under the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.
These requirements will affect large European Union companies, as well as non European Union companies with a significant presence in the European market.
As due diligence expectations continue to strengthen globally, Canadian companies that operate in or trade with the European Union, along with the practitioners who support them, will increasingly need to understand and apply these standards. This consultation is an opportunity to help shape guidance that will influence how due diligence is practiced in the years ahead.
TISFD Framework
The Taskforce on Inequality and Social related Financial Disclosures has released the first beta version of its framework for public feedback.
The framework outlines how businesses and financial institutions can identify and disclose people related impacts, risks and opportunities.
It could become an important reference point for how inequality and social impact are measured and disclosed in financial decision making. Social value and SROI practitioners have direct experience and expertise to contribute, and Canadian perspectives can help ensure the framework reflects practice beyond Europe.
This opportunity is available exclusively to Social Value Canada members.
